Mount Weart

Mount Weart

Coast Range, BC

Mount Weart (2835m) is located 14km Northeast of Whistler. This shoot was part of bigger photography project for the Spring Lookbook. The theme for the season was ‘Who We Are’. The idea was to celebrate the people behind the brand and our backyard here in BC – such a joy to bring my camera back home to my hometown. It was also an amazing opportunity work with the people behind the brand as everyone we featured as models works in North Vancouver at the Arc’ HQ.

To cover the length of the backyard I broke it down into three parts; North Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler.

With so many locations I love here at home it wasn’t easily to select the Whistler location but I landed on Mount Weart because I can see it from my house.

Shoot Highlight: Our rocky summit bivvy so we could shoot at first light.

More Details

Mount Weart is the second tallest peak in Garibaldi Provincial Park in South Western British Columbia, Canada. It sits next to the visually iconic Wedge Mountain just 14km North East of Whistler. There are a few ways to get to Mt Weart but we took the Wedge Lake Trail, hiked past the lake and gained the ridge line coming at Weart from the East ridge. The Wedge Lake trail head is located just out of Whistler on Highway 99 on the way to Pemberton.
